Healthcare Hotspot Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the Healthcare Hotspot mobile app and the Healthcare Hotspot website. Healthcare Hotspot is an independent informational directory that helps users locate clinics and community resources. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.

Summary: Healthcare Hotspot does not require an account and does not intentionally collect your health information. Device location is optional. If you choose “Use my location,” the app uses approximate location on your device to sort nearby clinics and does not send that device location to the Healthcare Hotspot server. You can instead search by ZIP code, city, or clinic name.

1. Information you provide

Healthcare Hotspot does not require account registration, a name, email address, phone number, medical history, diagnosis, insurance information, or other health information to use the directory. The app includes an optional clinic-suggestion form. Only the clinic name is required; address, city, state, and phone number are optional. The app does not ask you to submit medical information through this form.

If you choose to submit a clinic suggestion, the clinic details you enter are sent directly to the Healthcare Hotspot server and stored for review. The form may include a clinic name, address, city, state, and phone number. Healthcare Hotspot does not ask for your name or email address with a clinic suggestion. The information is used to review possible directory additions or corrections. Do not include medical information or other sensitive personal information.

2. Location and search information

Location access is optional and is requested only after you choose the “Use my location” feature. The app uses approximate foreground location to sort clinics by distance while the app is in use. Healthcare Hotspot does not request background location and does not send your device location to the Healthcare Hotspot server.

You can use the combined ZIP, city, or clinic-name search without granting device-location permission. Search terms are used on the device and are not intentionally sent to Healthcare Hotspot.

3. Information stored on your device

The app may store copies of public clinic-directory updates, community-event information, resource links, and app configuration data on your device so that the directory can continue to work if an update cannot be downloaded. This cached information is directory content, not a user health record. You can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

4. Network requests and technical information

The app periodically requests public directory, event, resource, and configuration files from Healthcare Hotspot’s hosting service. Healthcare Hotspot does not include your device location or health information in those requests. Like most websites and content-delivery services, the hosting or network provider may automatically process technical request information such as an IP address, request time, browser/app networking information, and security logs to deliver content, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. Healthcare Hotspot does not use these requests to build health profiles or behavioral advertising profiles.

5. External services and links

Healthcare Hotspot contains links and actions that may open third-party services, including clinic websites, telephone calling, and mapping/directions services such as Apple Maps or Google Maps. The in-app map may also rely on platform mapping services. Once you use a third-party service, that service may process information under its own privacy policy and terms. Healthcare Hotspot does not control those third-party privacy practices.

6. Health information

Healthcare Hotspot is a directory and does not ask users to enter symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, medications, medical records, or other personal health information. The app does not access Apple Health, Health Connect, electronic medical records, or medical-device data.

7. Advertising, tracking, and sale of data

Healthcare Hotspot does not use user information for targeted advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not use device location to track users across apps or websites.

8. Data security

Production directory updates and the privacy policy should be served over HTTPS. Healthcare Hotspot minimizes personal-data handling by keeping optional location processing on the device and by not maintaining user accounts or health records. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Retention and deletion

Healthcare Hotspot does not maintain user accounts, server-side device-location histories, or user health records. Clinic suggestions submitted through the optional form may be retained on the Healthcare Hotspot server as needed to review and maintain the directory and may be deleted when no longer needed. The suggestion record stores the clinic details entered in the form together with an internal submission ID, submission time, and review status; the application does not store the sender’s IP address in the suggestion record. Approximate location used for nearby sorting is held in app memory for the active search and is not intentionally retained by Healthcare Hotspot after use. Public directory caches remain on the device until they are replaced, the app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Technical security or delivery logs maintained by a hosting provider may be retained according to that provider’s configuration and operational requirements.

10. Children

Healthcare Hotspot is a general-audience directory. It does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children through the app.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.

12. Privacy questions

The app covered by this policy is Healthcare Hotspot. For privacy questions or requests, use the developer support contact shown on Healthcare Hotspot’s current App Store or Google Play listing. That developer contact is the official privacy inquiry channel for this app.

Medical disclaimer

Healthcare Hotspot is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
